Making an Order

We don't have any promotional codes, so the price you see is the best available.

We don't offer price matching, but do hope our service will win you over.

Yes, put this in your order notes at checkout and we can include a short message in an envelope. Please consider our dispatch and delivery times if you are getting close to a birthday etc.

If you have any problems with the online store get in touch, we should be able to find a solution.

Our order confirmations are sent almost instantly. If you haven't received one 5 minutes after ordering then check your junk and add to your safe senders list.

If you don't find the email in your junk then contact us.

Please let us know as soon as possible via email if you wish to cancel your order. If your order has not yet be dispatched, we will issue a full refund. If your order has already been dispatched then we are unable to cancel, but you may return the items to us as detailed below.

No, there is no rush to use our gift cards.

We may be expecting a delivery of some items soon, in which case there will be the option to purchase with the expected dispatch date noted above the buy button. This is not guaranteed, but gives you an idea of when you may expect this part of your order to be sent out.


Free delivery on orders over £50

Orders totalling £50 or more receive free Standard Delivery (2-3 working days). Otherwise Standard Delivery is charged at a flat rate of £3. You can upgrade to Express Delivery (1-2 working days) for £3 extra.

Please contact us if you are interested in global delivery, we will come back to you with some options. You will not have to pay the 20% UK sales tax that is included in our prices, but may have to pay import duty for your country. 

If you don't mind receiving your goods in a re-used box then let us know in the comments section when you check out your order. If we have any spare we will use one.


All unopened items may be returned within 30 days of delivery

We aim to strike the balance between securing items and not using too much packaging. Please contact us if you have any problems and we will help.

Refer a Friend

We have a refer a friend scheme, receive a small gift if someone you know becomes a customer

You may receive a referral voucher with your order. You can share the code on this voucher with anyone you like. If a new customer notes your code in the order comments then you will both receive a small gift. You can find details of our refer a friend offer here.


We aim high when it comes to being a well run company

Sakura Trading was established to bring Japanese items that are joy to use to the UK. The items we stock focus on well-crafted items that excel at their role. We are a small team and you can find a bit more on our about us page, products page and blog.

We don't want to add to your inbox clutter so don't send out mailshots or a newsletter. We do have a blog that you can subscribe to through a RSS reader.

We fully support online privacy. We do use cookies to best serve our customers, but completely understand if you want to decline these. Full details are included on our Privacy Policy. You can also use a browser like Firefox to block cookies across the web.

We partner with Shopify to run our store, which ensures the secure running of the site. We also recommend you use a password manager such as Bitwarden. A password manager allows you to use different complex passwords for each site you use, so if one gets stolen your other logins are still safe.
